Job Summary
The Lead Pre-K Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where children ages 45 develop academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in preparation for kindergarten. This position provides leadership within the classroom, ensures licensing compliance, communicates professionally with families, and models The Midwest Playhouse's mission and values.
Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership
  • Lead daily classroom routines and maintain a structured, engaging learning environment.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Missouri Early Learning Standards.
  • Prepare children for kindergarten through hands-on learning and play-based instruction.
  • Foster independence, confidence, problem-solving, and positive social skills.
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and readiness each day.
