Job Summary
The Receptionist plays a supporting role in the daily operations of Hope Media Group's headquarters and serves as the "ambassador of first impressions" for all who visit or call. This role ensures a welcoming, hospitable, and efficient environment for guests, team members, ministry partners, and the public. The receptionist will report directly to the Sr. HR/Volunteer Services Lead and will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to Hope Media Group staff, Board, listeners, and guests.
Essential Functions:
Team Member & Guest Relations:
  • Greet and welcome all guests and team members warmly, representing Hope Media Group's culture and core virtues.
  • Manage front desk phone operations: answer calls, direct inquiries, and ensure prompt responses.
  • Oversee visitor check-ins, security protocols, and ensure hosts are notified.

Prayer:
  • Be willing to pray with callers when a prayer volunteer is not available
  • Fill out the online Prayer Request Form before end each shift
  • Maintains a non-denominational approach when praying for listeners who call in (use for prayer dept)

Administrative Support:
  • Assist staff with clerical duties

Demonstrated Faith:
  • Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Grounded spiritually and biblically literate
  • Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies
  • Live Christian principles defined by the ministry's Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs
  • Participate in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed
  • Passion for leveraging the HMG's media platforms for evangelism and discipleship
  • Exhibit a strong moral character
  • Active member of a Bible believing local church

Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:
  • 1 year experience in customer service
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Creative and enthusiastic, team player
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software/systems as needed
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible and able to work rotating schedule (29 hours per week)
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scriptures.
  • Possesses a genuine concern for all people, and capacity to relate with all people in a sensitive, respectful way
  • Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
  • Must have studied and applied the Christian faith through a minimum of 3 years of bible study
  • Ability to offer Christian prayer in group settings
  • Exhibit a life and service that is in full accord with Holy Bible and KSBJ
  • A love and appreciation for our style of Christian radio ministry
