Job description

Overview
Overall responsibility for providing/directing the electrical engineering design of natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial projects. Assist in the technical implementation of assigned projects. Coordinate with other managers, engineers, designers and drafters in completing project assignments. This position is located in Derwent, Ohio and is a Monday-Friday in the office position!
Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering design for small projects, with oversight from more experienced engineers, with the ability to adapt to changes in scope and design
  • Perform engineering activity based on project estimated hours and schedule
  • Assist in the Preparation of engineering FEED studies
  • Ensure all Bi-Con Engineering and client specifications and standards are understood and followed
  • Exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity to resolve technical issues
  • Markup and backcheck project drawings
  • Prepare project deliverables, including conduit/cable schedules, interconnection details, electrical calculations

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Thorough understanding of the NEC, IEEE, and other related standards
  • A working knowledge of Hazardous Area classification using API and AGA standards
  • Proficient use of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Working knowledge of Visual and BCE-specific software
  • Good communication and analytical skills are also required

Preferred experience: Engineer with E.I. and 0-2 years' experience, or Engineer without E.I. AND 0-4 years' experience
