Food & Beverage Sales Representative

We're a premier catering and events company serving corporate clients, weddings, and celebrations across the Midwest. Position Overview

As our Catering Sales Representative, you'll be a friendly, confident face connecting clients with our culinary creations. You'll drive revenue by finding new business, nurturing client relationships, and helping plan events that leave guests raving. From corporate lunches to dream weddings, you'll guide clients through menus, packages, and custom solutions tailored to their needs and budgets.

Essential Functions

  • Find and secure new catering clients across corporate, social, and special-event markets.
  • Conduct high-volume phone and email outreach, network, and attend events to generate leads.
  • Build lasting relationships by understanding client needs and designing custom catering packages.
  • Serve as the main point of contact, providing guidance and reassurance through every step of event planning.
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure events run flawlessly.
  • Ensure every client leaves thrilled by following up after events and gathering feedback.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, menu innovations, and competitor offerings to grow our business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, catering, hospitality, or events/weddings preferred.
  • Outgoing and personableโ€”a true people person energized by meeting new clients.
  • Exceptional communicatorโ€”confident on the phone, via email, and in face-to-face meetings.
  • Ability to handle high-volume outreach while managing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and driven to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, and special events.

Additional Notes

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move around for long periods.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25โ€“30 lbs (samples, catering materials).
  • Travel between client sites, office, and events as needed.
  • Work in both office and event environments, including heat, noise, and crowds.

Salary & Benefits

$45,000โ€“$55,000 annually, depending on qualifications; bonus and commission eligible.
