Job description

Who We Are:
Watkins Distributing is a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company that has proudly served Idaho and Montana for four generations.

Job Summary:
The Beverage Sales Representative is responsible for managing beverage sales and merchandising activities within an assigned territory while building strong customer relationships and growing market share.

The sales territory includes Bellevue, Hailey, and Ketchum.

The compensation is based on experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand beverage sales within an assigned territory by servicing existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.
  • Present and sell the company's complete portfolio of products to both current and prospective customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish new retail accounts within the territory.
  • Monitor inventory levels, submit orders, and ensure products are properly stocked and available for consumers.
  • Build, replenish, and maintain displays, coolers, and point-of-sale materials in accordance with company merchandising standards.
  • Utilize mobile devices and company software to enter orders, monitor inventory, complete surveys, and maintain accurate account records.
  • Operate hand trucks and other manual equipment to transport and merchandise products.
  • Safely handle beverage products, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling cases and kegs.
  • Rotate products to maintain freshness, quality, and proper inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships while resolving product or service concerns as needed.
  • Execute sales programs, promotional initiatives, and merchandising objectives as directed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company products, industry trends, and new product offerings.
  • Comply with all alcohol regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and all company safety procedures.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities accurately, efficiently, and within established performance expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

  • Previous beverage sales experience preferred.
  • Strong product and industry knowledge with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
  • Adaptable and resourceful with strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, move, and merchandise beverage cases weighing 20–30 lbs. Duties include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work independently across multiple retail locations and travel between customer accounts throughout the day.
