FOOD amp; BEVERAGE COORDINATOR
The Crowne Plaza Portland-Downtown is seeking a Food and Beverage Coordinator supports the Food and Beverage (F amp;B) Department in ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent guest experiences, and effective coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. This role involves administrative duties, scheduling, vendor communication, inventory support, event coordination, and quality control assistance.

RATE OF PAY:
  • $20.91 to $23.150.00 per hour/DOE plus tips and gratuities (tips/gratuities are distributed biweekly on pay days)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
  • Principals of providing customer service, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems preferred.
Skills and Ability to:
  • Effectively organize, plan, and prioritize work assignments in accordance with department goals and objectives to meet productivity standards and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks with limited direct supervision,
  • Accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
  • Possess strong listening, verbal, and written communications skills to effectively and professionally communicate with guests, coworkers, and the public.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Previous Food and Beverage or related experience preferred.
  • One year’s experience in a customer service supervisory position preferred.
Licenses:
  • Valid Food Handler Permit required.
  • Valid Alcohol Server Permit required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
This work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and to stand/walk for extended periods during events or busy service times.
Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in person with background noise. Must have visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required duties. Must be able to see, walk, stand, bend climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, stoop, grasp, push and pull.
