General Description:


The (on-call) Food and Beverage Assistant Manager oversees and assists with all FOH daily services and operations for the assigned venue, including catering, banquet operations, and all related restaurant operations, up to and including 500 Grand Cafรฉ and Westside Bistro. The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager must also embrace the Academy's training priorities and be an engaged, willing collaborator in ensuring students have regular opportunities to gain applied learning experience across all applied areas.


Essential Functions:


  • Manage and supervise daily operations, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating, and supervising performance.
  • Ensure daily briefings are conducted with students, employees, and co-workers through assessments, pre-shifts, and/or post-shifts
  • Effectively communicate all pertinent information to affected departments to ensure proper operations of each venue and operation
  • Provide leadership and direction in the execution and measurement of guest services to ensure continued growth and development. Effectively use data, reporting, and operational effectiveness techniques to operate the venue in accordance with financial budgets. Ensure all policies, procedures, and practices are consistent with the core service standards.
  • Maintain adequate inventory and shortage controls, tracking expenses including payroll, supplies, and cost of goods
  • Ensure the successful operation of special events and banquets through regular communication, including, but not limited to, weekly BEO meetings with the Catering Director and Executive Chef.
  • Assist with catering administration and other related duties as assigned by management.


Minimum Qualifications:


High School Diploma. Two (2) years managing Food & Beverage Operations.
