Description:

Position Summary: The Food & Beverage Intern supports the daily operations of the Club’s dining outlets under the guidance of the Assistant Clubhouse Manager and management team. This role is designed to provide hands-on learning in hospitality operations, food and beverage service, and member engagement. The intern will assist with day-to-day tasks while developing an understanding of service standards, teamwork, and club operations in a professional environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering a positive dining experience by engaging with Club members and guests in a friendly and professional manner

• Support the team in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service

• Assist with basic menu updates and provide input based on member feedback and observations

• Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Observe and support staff to learn effective service techniques and team coordination

• Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to support smooth operations

• Assist with end-of-shift tasks, including basic reporting and organization

• Support scheduling efforts and assist with shift coordination when needed

• Assist with inventory counts and organization of stock to help maintain appropriate levels

• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing learning opportunities

• Support the events team with setup, service, and breakdown of special events and private functions

• Stay informed about hospitality trends and actively participate in learning opportunities

• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong willingness to learn with a positive, proactive attitude
• Friendly, service-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn POS and other systems
• Physically able to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
• Flexible schedule with willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
