Benefits Coordinator - Employee Benefits
Location: Hybrid - Deerfield or Downers Grove, IL

We're seeking a Benefits Coordinator, Spending Accounts who will provide direct support in system setup and day-to-day service requests, ensuring a seamless client experience and operational accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You'll Do / Your Impact
Client Partnership & Risk Strategy
  • Support clients with coverage placement, renewals, claims coordination, policy analysis and day to day service needs
  • Serve as a key point of contact for routine client service inquiries and coordinate activities with internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to resolve enrollment billing and claims issues
  • Contribute to retention and growth initiatives by delivering consistent and responsive client service

Operational Excellence
  • Maintain documentation in agency management systems including client records correspondence and policy information
  • Ensure compliance with internal workflows regulatory requirements and policy accuracy standards
  • Support audits reporting and administrative processes related to client accounts
  • Coordinate service tasks across internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of deliverables
  • Assist with enrollment processing eligibility updates and benefits program administration

Strategic Contribution
  • Assist in identifying coverage gaps or risk mitigation strategies and support improvements in service delivery
  • Partner on new business opportunities by supporting data gathering carrier submissions and renewal activities
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and process documentation to enhance efficiency and consistency
  • Support preparation of client materials presentations and reporting as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring
Required
  • Strong client service skills and ability to manage multiple accounts or projects
  • Knowledge of medical dental vision life and disability benefit programs
  • Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Two plus years of experience in employee benefits administration insurance brokerage or related field
  • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain
  • Experience with agency management systems and Microsoft Office tools including Excel
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits

Compensation:
Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
