Workday Configuration Analyst | San Antonio, Texas, United States Workday Configuration Analyst (Payroll & ACM) Location: Plano, TX | San Antonio, TX | Phoenix, AZ (Onsite / Hybrid) Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) About the Role Join a dynamic team as a senior-level Workday Configuration Analyst, where you will drive the optimization and support of our Total Rewards and Payroll ecosystem. As a functional subject matter expert, you will configure and align Workday Payroll, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits modules, directly impacting business processes and employee experiences. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end configuration, testing, and deployment of updates in Workday Payroll and Advanced Compensation (ACM) modules. - Design, optimize, and maintain complex Workday Business Processes (BPs) to streamline approval workflows and enforce data governance across HR, compensation, and payroll cycles. - Configure and support Workday Benefits Administration, ensuring accurate benefit deductions into payroll. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and delivering configurations based on user stories. - Troubleshoot complex configuration issues, manage tenant security, and conduct bi-annual Workday release testing. - Act as the go-to Workday SME, providing expert guidance and solutions that improve operational efficiency. Required Skills and Experience - Proven hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Workday Payroll module (earnings, deductions, pay groups, tax elections). - Demonstrated expertise in Advanced Compensation (ACM): configuring merit cycles, bonus plans, total rewards templates, and eligibility rules. - Strong proficiency in Workday Benefits Administration: configuring benefit groups, plans, coverage rules, and deduction mapping. - Advanced skills in designing, building, and troubleshooting Workday Business Processes (BPs) for Core HCM and Payroll. - Minimum 2 years' experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model. - Must be local or willing to work onsite/hybrid in Plano, San Antonio, or Phoenix.
