Job description

Garnet Educational Services is seeking a qualified Behavior Specialist Consultant to provide mostly virtual and some in-person (optional) services to K-12 students for the 2026-2027 school year. This flexible position offers full-time or part-time hours primarily during the school day with a no-obligation contract serving school districts across Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual and in-person behavioral specialist consultant services to students in grades K-12.

  • Collaborate with school district educational teams to support student behavior plans and academic success.

  • Draft IEP goals, complete behavioral reporting, and maintain compliance with educational timelines.

  • Design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans based on student assessments.

  • Maintain consistent communication with school personnel, teachers, and families regarding student progress.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Behavior Specialist Consultant Certification in Pennsylvania.

  • Must hold a valid professional license to work in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Preferred one to two years of experience working as a behavioral therapist or specialist with school-aged children.

  • Must obtain all mandatory background checks, clearances, and documentation required by PA school districts.

  • Strong understanding of educational processes, special education regulations, and IEP development.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Hourly pay starting at 55 dollars per hour based on experience. (We pay higher than average for contractors, knowing there will be some cancellations in schedule)
