This Position
As the first and last point of contact in our busy Landscape Supply Yard, our Cashiers play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient checkout experience. You'll answer customer questions, process transactions, and make sure each person who walks up to the counter feels taken care of. This is a fast-paced, high-energy role where attention to detail and a positive attitude make a big difference every single day.
You'll report to the Head Customer Service Representative and work closely with both our Yard and Customer Service teams.

What You'd Be Doing
  • Greet every customer warmly and create a positive first impression
  • Process sales transactions at our Quick Sale counter using including credit card payments and cash handling
  • Handle bulk material calculations and unit conversions with accuracy and confidence
  • Ask clarifying questions to understand customer needs and point them toward the right team member when needed
  • Explain basic product and service information to help customers make informed buying decisions
  • Keep the checkout area clean, stocked, and organized at all times
  • Support the sales floor by stocking shelves, observing inventory levels, and notifying the Inventory Manager of low or missing items
  • Follow all safety standards, cash handling, and register reconciliation procedures
  • Support general housekeeping efforts in the store and employee break areas
  • Maintain excellent attendance and a strong work ethic every day.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to stay organized, alert, and upbeat in a fast-moving environment
  • A team player who's willing to jump in and help wherever it's needed, who LOVES serving people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient math skills-you're comfortable making quick calculations and giving accurate change to customers.
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs, including point of sale software.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently when needed
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand throughout your shift
  • Perform volume and area calculations using a material calculator
  • Flexible with shift scheduling, including availability
$23 - $23 an hour
