Business Development Consultant Job Description
Summary:
A Business Development Consultant (BDC) plays a key role in recruiting new customers and maintaining relationships with current customers. A BDC utilizes our online e-Leads program to assist customers in the search of a new vehicle through phone calls, email, and text.
Reports To: Business Development Manager
Job Duties:
Contact new and existing customers to discuss current sales promotions.
Set appointments for customers.
Collaborate with Sales team on appointments and customer needs.
Respond to inbound phone calls and internet inquiries to develop customer trust and generate customer visits to our stores.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and to produce referrals.
Urge sales by being honest, persuasive, and taking initiative to get the job done.
Other duties as assigned.

Exemption Status:
Business Development Consultant is a non-exempt position. You are required by Federal and
State Law and by Reineke Family Dealerships to keep an accurate record of all hours you work
each day. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in disciplinary action up to and
including termination.
The dealership is an "at-will" employer, meaning that your employment has no specific term,
and that the employment relationship may be terminated at any time at the will of either party on
notice to the other. Nothing contained in your commission (compensation/pay) plan should be
understood to alter the nature of the at-will employment relationship or create a contract of
employment for a specific term.

Must have excellent customer service and a desire to help customers
Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
Detail oriented and proficient with computers, email, smart phones, and the internet
1+ year(s) experience in customer service, sales, or related work
