Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss current sales promotions
  • Create excitement and set appointments for customers
  • Respond to inbound phone calls and internet inquiries to develop customer trust and generate customer visits
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and produce referrals
  • Perform all other Business Development selling duties as assigned
  • Engage in all training directed by the BDC Manager
  • Follow the BDC scripts and guidelines on all inbound and outbound calls
  • Ensure that all calls presented are answered promptly and professional
  • Acquire a complete knowledge of product information related to the makes and models of the dealership
  • Develop proficiency with all features of the BDC CRM Software and associated products
  • Ensure that all information entered into BDC systems is consistent and accurate
  • Maintain knowledge of coupons, direct mail pieces, all sales advertising and inventory throughout the company and its OEMs
  • Maintain a current knowledge of schedules of personnel throughout the dealerships
  • Maintain a thorough understanding and adherence to dealership and BDC department policies and procedures
  • Endeavor to meet and exceed hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly individual goals as communicated by the BDC Manager
  • Ensure that all outbound calls (No Shows, Confirmations, Show appointment follow up and Task list calls) are made in a timely and effective manner
  • Consistently meet the daily guidelines set for number of set appointments, appointment show and outbound calls
  • Maintain the essential communication link between the client and the dealership
  • Ensure that all communications to and from the client and to and from the sales department is passed on effectively and quickly

Job Qualifications:

  • Professional and has the ability to make a compelling introduction
  • Willing to participate in skills and product training
  • Multi-tasker and excellent customer service skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals
  • Proficient with computers, emails, smart phones and the web
  • High school diploma or the equivalent. College level achievement preferred
  • Willing to engage in ongoing training
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Previous experience and success in customer service, sales, call center, telemarketing or automotive BDC positions
  • Skilled at building positive relationships over the phone or via email
  • Professional personal appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to multi task
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with dealer personnel at all levels
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of customer information, as well as dealership processes, and marketing strategies
