Job description

OT Dynamics has an immediate opening for a Preassembler at our Flat Rock, Michigan location! The Preassembler is responsible for assisting in the manufacture, organization, and storage of liquid coatings, in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures, to achieve the highest level of efficiency and productivity. $18 per hour.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Operating forklift safely and properly including safe handling of hazardous (flammable) materials
  • Forklift certification required in first 60 days
  • Conduct daily forklift maintenance checklists and PM logs
  • Ability to read and understand batch ticket, work instructions, or pick slip to select the correct materials to be staged
  • Actively participate in warehouse organization/storage with emphasis on inventory control
  • Load and unload trucks as necessary, including identification of materials and proper tagging for inventory control
  • Assist in maintaining inventory tracking logs and data entry into inventory control process
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing-coating and adhesive
  • High School Diploma
  • Preferred: previous mixing experience as a batch maker
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working in a dusty environment around paint smells
