Anticipated - High School Teacher of Mathematics (Grades 9-12)
The High School Mathematics Teacher provides instruction in computer based courses that integrate mathematical thinking, coding, and data analysis.This position is ideal for mathematics certified educators with an interest in computer science and emerging technologies.
  • Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Mathematics: CE, CEAS, Provisional or Standard)
  • Teach courses aligned to the District and state standards.
  • Integrate computer science concepts such as coding, data analysis and computational thinking into mathematics instruction where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote problem solving, analytical thinking and real world application of mathematical concepts.
  • Use project based learning and technology enhanced activities to deepen student understanding and engagement.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods including performance based tasks, projects and traditional assessments.
  • Support or collaborate on extracurricular opportunities related to STEM, technology or coding based on interest and experience.
  • Encourage student participation in enrichment opportunities such as math competitions, coding challenges, or STEM events.
  • Support the continued growth of technology integration within the mathematics program and across the school.
  • Mandatory criminal background check and P.L. 2018 c.5 clearance
