Now Hiring Kitchen Team Members at Tribute Eatery & Bar

Tribute Eatery & Bar is hiring Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to join our back-of-house team in Coralville.

If you enjoy working with food, staying active during your shift, and being part of a team, this could be a great opportunity for you. Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but we’re also open to dependable candidates who are ready to learn and grow their culinary skills.

Tribute Eatery & Bar is a neighborhood restaurant serving elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and memorable dining experiences. Our kitchen team works together to prepare quality food, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and keep service running smoothly.

Compensation ranges from $15-$22 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time positions are available. Scheduling may include morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts depending on restaurant needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, and menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
  • Set up, stock, and maintain kitchen stations throughout each shift
  • Cook food using grilling, sautéing, frying, broiling, and other preparation methods
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards to ensure consistent food preparation
  • Label, store, rotate, and handle food according to food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Keep kitchen stations, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks, inventory checks, and food storage documentation
  • Communicate with kitchen leaders and coworkers to support efficient service
  • Assist with both prep and line cooking responsibilities based on daily restaurant needs
  • Help with additional back-of-house duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Restaurant, prep cook, or line cook experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
