Job description


What will I be doing?
As a Barback, you will support bartending operations throughout the hotel, ensuring outstanding guest service and contributing to the financial success of the property. You will be responsible for performing the following duties to the highest standards:
Key Responsibilities:
• Retrieve orders from the storeroom, visually verify stock, and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure accuracy; recheck stock upon delivery.
• Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing, and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices, and storing back-up supplies in designated containers.
• Assist bartenders with stocking and maintaining the bar, including paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
• Transport, replace, and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs and taps.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.

Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Prepare fresh ingredients: Cut, slice, and peel garnishes and fruits, mix juices, and place all prepared supplies in designated containers
Keep the bar stocked: Work closely with the bartender to ensure the bar is stocked with essentials like glassware, ice, produce, condiments and paper products
Manage Beer Kegs & Taps: Transport, replace, and maintain beer kegs and taps to ensure uninterrupted service
Assist with inventory management: Retrieve orders from the storeroom, visually check stock, reconcile with written requisitions, and re-check upon delivery
Keep bar and storage areas clean: Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas
Comply with regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
