Job Title: Banquet Bartender

Position Overview:
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality beverage service during events, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong understanding of banquet operations. Candidates must have prior experience in a catering hall or restaurant and be 21 years old or over to apply
Un-experienced bartenders are welcome to start as a banquet server
Primary Functions of the Job:
  • Efficiently and consistently produce high-quality beverages in a fast-paced setting.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • The ability to follow recipes provided by the banquet hall is necessary

Responsibilities:
Event Preparation and Execution:

  • Set up and break down bar stations before and after events, ensuring all supplies are stocked, organized and clean.
  • Prepare and serve beverages according to event specifications and guest requests.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organized bar area throughout the event.

Customer Service:
  • Greeting guests with a smile and provide prompt and professional service.
  • Strictly enforce all legal procedures related to serving alcohol, including checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated guests.
  • Adhere to all state and local health and safety regulations.
  • Immediately report any unsafe conditions, equipment failures, or incidents to management.

Teamwork and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with management and event MaîtreD's and all staff members.
  • Assist with other event-related tasks as needed.

Inventory and Financial Management:
  • Accurately track and manage bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Complete end-of-event cash-out procedures and report any discrepancies to management.

Qualifications:
  • Job requirement, 21 years old and over to apply
  • Experience as a bartender in a catering hall, banquet facility, or restaurant.
  • Knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Strong understanding of alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices 'TIPS' certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Sommelier's welcome.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
