Overview

At First Citizens Bank, we're seeking a strategic and execution-focused Manager, Zafin Platform to lead the delivery, governance, and ongoing optimization of the Zafin platform supporting deposit products across the General Bank, including Consumer, Business, and Commercial Banking.

This role serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and technology execution, partnering closely with Deposit Pricing, Product, Treasury, Technology, and Risk teams to enable pricing agility, promotional offerings, and relationship-based pricing strategies.

The successful candidate will oversee platform strategy, system enhancements, release management, governance, and a specialized team responsible for delivering scalable and controlled pricing solutions that support growth, profitability, and customer value.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Strategy - Contributes to the development of the system strategy through partnership with business unit leaders, IT, and other key stakeholders. Executes strategy and ensures alignment both inside and outside of their specific business unit through personal leadership efforts.
System Support - Manages a team responsible for design, configuration, reporting, testing, implementation and upgrades of their supported business system(s). Oversees efforts to troubleshoot and improve processes for end users. Leads the vendor selection process, including oversight of vendor activities, related to department initiatives. Evaluates system functionality and effectiveness through user feedback, analysis, process documentation, and develops solutions to enhance systems as necessary.
Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate recommendations for changes to policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the hiring, performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes group achievements by providing technical and professional development.
Change Management - Leads change management efforts across the organization for their business system. Provides appropriate training and education for business users, managers, and associates, as needed.

Experience with business system to be supported

Required Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, Business Systems Management, Information Technology, or a related field or High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with the Zafin platform
  • Experience supporting deposit pricing or offer management solutions
  • Knowledge of consumer, business, and commercial banking products
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and related integrations
  • Knowledge of ALM, liquidity, and deposit profitability drivers
  • PMP certification or related project management experience
  • Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery environments
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems, pricing platforms, product platforms, or related banking technology solutions
  • Strong understanding of deposit products and pricing concepts
  • Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and system capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
