Job description

We are seeking a Head Of Culinary to join our team!  You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation. 

Product Development & Innovation

  • Lead formulation and development of dressings, sauces, bakery items, and cold-pressed juices.

  • Translate culinary concepts into scalable, commercially viable products.

  • Optimize recipes for flavor, texture, cost, shelf life, and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Collaborate with R&D, QA, and production teams to ensure products meet all safety and

    quality standards.

    Operational & Technical Leadership

  • Oversee culinary processes from benchtop to full-scale production.

  • Ensure smooth handoff between culinary development and manufacturing teams.

  • Troubleshoot formulation or processing issues, including emulsification, viscosity, pH,

    and ingredient interactions.

  • Maintain strong documentation practices (specs, SOPs, batch sheets).

    Team Management

  • Lead, train, and mentor culinary and kitchen staff.

  • Set clear expectations, manage performance, and build a culture of accountability and

    creativity.

  • Coordinate cross-departmentally with production, procurement, and QA.

Bilingual Communication

  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with culinary, production, and leadership teams.

  • Provide training, feedback, and direction in Spanish when needed. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.

  • Partner with QA to maintain compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and facility standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications

  • 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in dressings, sauces, bakery, beverage, or related food manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of emulsions, bakery science, and cold-pressed juice formulation.

  • Experience working in a production or co-packing environment.

  • Proven management experience leading culinary or production teams.

  • Fluent in Spanish (required).

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

    Preferred Experience

  • Experience with HPP-compatible formulations.

  • Background in clean-label or functional ingredient development.

  • Familiarity with SQF, GFSI, or similar food safety programs.
