Description

The Mixer is responsible for the accurate preparation and production of doughs, batters, and mixes for Authentic Gourmet Bakeshop's high-volume operations. This hands-on role requires precision, consistency, and a strong understanding of formulas to ensure all products meet AGBS quality standards. The Mixer plays a critical role in setting the foundation for successful production.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Accurately measure, scale, and mix ingredients according to established recipes and production schedules

Operate commercial mixing equipment safely and efficiently

Prepare doughs, batters, and other base products for breads, cakes, cookies, and related items

Ensure consistency in texture, weight, and quality across all mixes

Follow daily production schedules and review order requirements to meet volume demands

Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Support HACCP procedures and ensure proper documentation when required

Monitor ingredient levels and communicate inventory or supply needs to leadership

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Collaborate with bakers and packaging staff to ensure smooth production flow

Support additional bakery operations during downtime, including assisting with prep, packaging, or other production needs to drive overall team efficiency 


Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, bakery, or mixing role preferred

Strong understanding of measuring, scaling, and recipe execution

Ability to follow detailed instructions with a high level of accuracy

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Strong attention to detail and consistency

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment


Education

High school diploma or GED required 


Experience

Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred 

Experience working in regulated or licensed food service environments preferred

Physical Requirements
