Job description

Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 1:30am

Pay: $24

General Responsibilities:

A lead monitors and supervises a set of employees directly beneath them and reports their performance to their manager. The lead motivates and inspires the team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of the team, and demonstrates flexibility.

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:

  • Directly oversees a team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Direct activities of all personnel assigned assuring all maintenance is completed in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring work is performed within company safety guidelines.
  • Train personnel.
  • Perform inspections and communicate all findings to the appropriate manager assigned.
  • Ensure that personnel are using proper / appropriate cleaning products and tools.
  • Ensure that personnel are following dress code guidelines.
  • Respond quickly to all emergency situations.
  • Assist staff with janitorial duties.
  • Submits supply inventory to the manager.
  • Must keep janitorโ€™s closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Proficiency in English will enhance your ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Lead janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Bilingual
  • High school or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Open availability: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. Holiday work may also be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs., carry 12 lb. backpack vacuum as needed.
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
  • Must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process
  • Must complete pre-employment background check. (if applicable)
