Backpack Mental Support, Inc. is seeking dedicated full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapists who are passionate about providing high-quality mental health care. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of a vibrant virtual community of mental health professionals. Our team collaborates daily to enhance patient outcomes, making this an ideal environment for those who thrive on teamwork and professional development. Our standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments through client interviews and standardized measures, employing solution-focused therapeutic approaches to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, to facilitate client progress.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in alignment with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies, ensuring a secure and confidential client experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Participate in regular peer supervision and case consultations, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at enhancing clinical skills and ensuring best practices.
  • Provide education and resources to clients and their families regarding mental health awareness, treatment paths, and community support systems.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating various mental health challenges. Many of our clients are looking to heal from trauma, manage anxiety, or cope with depression. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.
  • Proficient in utilizing solution-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic alliances.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex client issues.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to client care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence in specialized therapeutic techniques relevant to specific client populations is advantageous.
