Job Title: Storage Maintenance Technician - Self Storage Team

Salary: $26.00-$27.00 Hourly

Schedule: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with storage unit make-ready procedures
  • Make regular inspections of the grounds and buildings
  • Make repairs or replacements as necessary and with Supervisor approval
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Repairing or cleaning signage, pressure washing, cleaning gutters/roof areas, interior and exterior painting, maintaining sidewalks, stairwells, and parking lot areas, removing snow from walkways, and applying salt.
  • Perform landscaping duties, e.g., mowing, weeding, raking, pruning trees/bushes, backpack blowing, and herbicide application

Qualifications -

  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Previous experience in property/storage maintenance preferred
  • General knowledge of painting and drywall patching
  • Minor appliance skills
  • General knowledge about building equipment
  • Able to evaluate deficiencies such as excessive wear or troubleshoot faulty parts
  • Handle service calls in a timely manner
  • Good safety habits
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to speak to storage customers and maintain good working relations with other team members and any contract laborers working on the property
