Job description

Prestige Landscape Services, an LMC Landscape Partner, is searching for an Account Manager to serve as a liaison between our maintenance customers and operations. This position will be the main point of contact for our customers, will routinely check job sites, communicate about project timelines and progress, and work to resolve any problems quickly. The Account Manager will also sell in enhancements, renew ongoing contracts, work on budgets, forecasting and financials. To ensure operational efficiencies, this role will walk through and inspect job sites with crew leaders and members. They will also set project timelines and schedules of the crews and monitor the performance on job site.
This is a Full-time, benefit eligible position. In addition to receiving a base pay, this role qualifies for a company vehicle. Prestige Landscape supports a learning culture, where employees are encouraged to advance their skills through training, education, and on-the-job experience.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, train and develop managers, crew leaders and/or team members in work responsibilities to ensure company policies and standards are met
  • Manage multiple annual maintenance contracts by proactively building relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with current services as well as to generate opportunities for expansion of services
  • Ensure job quality and work performance and handle all customer requests, problems and/or questions and ensure resolution to such
  • Complete orders for job materials, ensure work is scheduled and completed on time and in budget, and performs follow up with customers
  • Complete routine site visits and schedule inspections
  • Identify and solicit enhancements from customer accounts
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial landscaping maintenance experience is required; exposure to different areas of landscape such as turf, plant care, irrigation, enhancements, works orders, etc is ideal.
  • Experience managing project timelines, schedules, materials and crews is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant programs (Horticulture, Business, Construction, Agriculture, etc) is a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to easily build rapport and long-term relationships
  • Must be able to assess quality of work, and identify plant material and problem identification and train teams
  • Comfortable using computers and other forms of technology is needed
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed sales goals
  • Irrigation and/or Chemical Applicator licenses are a plus
  • Shares in company values and can demonstrate those in the field
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • This job operates in an outdoor setting 70%-80% of the time, assessing quality, training, meeting customers, identifying/estimating work orders, evaluating work in progress, identifying plant or other issues. Must be able to drive to 1 or more job locations and job sites daily.
  • The remaining work time involves indoor office work – must be able to operate a computer and office equipment and may sit for extended periods of time.
  • This role routinely uses landscaping tools and equipment and occasionally may operate machinery. This employee drives a company vehicle (truck/trailer).
  • This employee will have to work odd or long hours at any-time to complete special request for projects. The ability to lift 40 lbs., tolerate heat and cold extremes, and walk 3-4 miles on job sites is required.
