Job description

Join the Nash + Tender team as a Crew Member, the backbone of our fast-paced, high-energy restaurant. This role is a full cross-training position, meaning you will master all areas of the restaurant, from the front-of-house customer experience to the back-of-house culinary execution.

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic team player who thrives in a fast-casual environment and is committed to delivering both exceptional food quality and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Back-of-House (BOH) / Kitchen Operations

  • Food Preparation: Learn and execute all prep standards for fresh ingredients, ensuring consistency and quality for every menu item.
  • Line Cooking: Execute all cooking methods (e.g., frying, grilling) for our core products, ensuring all food is cooked to temperature, safety, and quality standards during high-volume periods.
  • Kitchen Flow & Coordination: Maintain efficient ticket times by constantly communicating order status, delays, and readiness with the cashier and expediting team.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Strictly adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. This includes maintaining a clean workstation, washing dishes, and executing deep cleaning checklists.

Front-of-House (FOH) / Cashier & Customer Service

  • Order Taking & POS: Greet every customer with enthusiasm, accurately take food and beverage orders, and process all cash and credit card transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Customer Experience: Answer questions about the menu, dietary restrictions, and promotions. Resolve minor customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure a positive visit.
  • Order Expediting: Ensure orders are assembled accurately, packaged correctly, and delivered to the customer in a timely manner with all necessary condiments and utensils.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a team-oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where efficiency and accuracy are key.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially the ability to speak clearly and loudly to coordinate with team members during a rush.
  • Flexibility to be scheduled for shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds, as required for common restaurant tasks.
  • Prior experience in food service or customer-facing roles is preferred, but we will train the right candidate who has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
