PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Confidently and respectfully approach tourists and beachgoers to introduce them to The Op Games brand, and spark excitement about our smash-hit card game Flip 7
  • Manage inventory and execute giveaways of games, merchandise, beach gear, etc.
  • Become a master of Flip 7: Be able to briefly explain the rules, hype up the gameplay, and generate word-of-mouth buzz among vacationers
  • Assist with the daily transport, setup, and breakdown of lightweight promotional kiosks, banners, and/or carts at various locations
  • Track daily interactions, giveaway counts, and general crowd feedback, providing regular updates to the Marketing Development Coordinator on campaign impact and tourist sentiment

  • Proficient customer service skills; able to interact with the public
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing and ready to handle anything presented
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and problem-solve
  • Team player who works well with others
  • Familiarity with San Diego beaches, boardwalks, and tourist behavior
  • Comfortable with cold-approach interactions
  • Capable of maintaining a high level of enthusiasm throughout the day
  • Ability to stand, walk, and engage with the public for extended periods in sunny, outdoor, beachside environments. (Sunscreen provided!)
  • Highly punctual, responsible, and capable of managing your time and inventory
  • A genuine love for party games and board games!

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Consistently hitting or exceeding daily interaction and giveaway targets
  • Getting Flip 7 into the hands of as many vacationers as possible
  • Tourists walking away from your interactions smiling, wearing our sunglasses, and excited to play Flip 7 back at their hotel or Airbnb
  • Arriving on time, setting up attractive and inviting spaces, and handling the physical demands of outdoor promotions with a positive attitude
  • Providing your team with fun anecdotes, photos (with permission), and accurate data on which locations and pitches are resonating best with the summer crowds
