Breast Puller Job Description

Job Title: Breast Puller

Department: Debone

Position Summary

The Breast Puller is responsible for removing breast fillets from poultry using the cone line process. This role involves grasping fillets from front halves, separating muscle from the bone structure, and placing fillets onto the conveyor system. The position supports production efficiency while following Tyson Foods safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Grasp fillets from front halves on the cone line and separate meat from the breast frame.

- Place removed fillets onto the adjacent conveyor line.

- Maintain consistent production speed and quality standards.

- Rotate to other cone line positions as required (e.g., Cone Stabber, Tender Puller).

- Participate in daily warm-up exercises and job rotations to reduce strain injuries.

- Ensure proper use and fit of required PPE at all times.

- Follow all start-up and shutdown procedures.

Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all Tyson Foods safety policies and procedures.

- Never reach into moving equipment or cone line mechanisms.

- Ensure equipment is stopped before clearing jams; use proper tools.

- Wear hearing protection in high noise areas.

- Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent slips, trips, and falls.

- Use handrails when navigating stairs and walkways.

Working Conditions
