Job description

The BMS Sales Representative is a key growth driver for FirstCall Mechanical, responsible for expanding both the construction and service sectors of the Building Automation business. This role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building high-level relationships with Facility Directors, and delivering innovative solutions centered on sustainability, decarbonization, and digital service offerings.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and target new prospects through networking and market analysis.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute territory marketing plans aligned with FirstCall’s broader business strategy.
  • CRM Management: Utilize HubSpot to track account status, sales progress, and maintain transparent reporting for management.

Consultative Sales

  • Problem Identification: Conduct high-impact sales calls to uncover operational pain points regarding HVAC, ventilation, and control systems.
  • Solution Design: Create innovative proposals for building controls, construction projects, and maintenance agreements.
  • Closing: Finalize proposals and secure long-term commitments from new clients.

Account Management & Success

  • Onboarding: Lead customer kick-off meetings to ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations.
  • Retention: Manage and extend existing service agreements while identifying "pull-through" opportunities for additional upgrades or services.
  • Support: Assist in resolving customer issues and supporting the collections process when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2–3 years of progressive sales experience; a background in Building Automation (BMS) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) sales is highly preferred.
