Job Description:
Tractor & Trailer Material Delivery Professionals (MDPs) are responsible for the continued loading and transport of cementitious materials needed in the production of ready-mix concrete.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Tractor & Pneumatic Trailer in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations
  • Complete pre and post trip inspection of Tractor & Pneumatic Trailer
  • Operate truck to receive load, inspect product loaded
  • Checks condition of load including legal axle weight limits.
  • Deliver product to location directed by dispatch
  • Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information to effectively carryout daily requirements
  • Ability to assess loading and unloading locations to identify any hazardous conditions
  • Safely maneuver truck at locations, to load and unload cementitious material
  • Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Documents and communicates with appropriate departments any variances along with any material concerns or issues.
  • Signs and receives bill of lading.
  • Demonstrated understanding for operational needs
  • Provide superior service for internal/external customers.
  • Identify and resolve any issues encountered and/or forward to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Maintains a clean exterior and interior of truck
  • Reports to dispatcher at end of each load for further instructions

What you'll need:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL, Valid state driver license required
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical on annual basis, including drug screen.
  • Ability to work in conditions common to loading and unloading locations. This includes but is not limited to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, noise

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with airbrake endorsement. Current DOT Medical card.
