Azure Cloud Administrator (Senior-Level)


Overview:
The Azure Cloud Administrator is responsible for the deployment, configuration, administration, and ongoing operational support of cloud-based solutions within a Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires strong expertise in identity and access management, cloud infrastructure, and security best practices, with a focus on maintaining highly available and secure enterprise systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Manage and maintain identity services, including Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
  • Deploy, configure, and support Azure AD components and related services
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools
  • Implement and manage access controls, authentication methods, and identity protection solutions
  • Support cloud migrations, including on-premises to Azure and VMware to Azure transitions
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with security frameworks, policies, and best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and operations teams


Core Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure AD Connect
    • Azure AD B2B (Business-to-Business)
    • Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)
    • Self-Service Group Management (SSGM)
    • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
    • Group-based licensing
    • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), including hardware token integrations (e.g., YubiKey)
    • Conditional Access policies
    • Identity Protection
  • Experience with monitoring and recovery tools such as:
    • Azure Monitor
    • Log Analytics
    • Azure Site Recovery
  • Experience with Privileged Access Workstations (PAW)
  • Familiarity with cloud migration strategies, including VMware to Azure


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Senior-level experience in cloud engineering, cloud administration, or network engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305)
