Job description

Sr. Azure Cloud Solutions Architect – Location : Chicago O’Hare area 

The  Sr. Azure Cloud Solutions Architect responsibilities will include:
 

Developing Architecture policies, standards, best practices and governance model to ensure alignment with roadmap
 

Work with vendors to implement policies and procedures
 

Define cloud adoption and migration approach to deliver large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
Implement best practices for Azure Cloud
Support migration of existing applications and development of new applications using Azure cloud services
Work to improve the flexibility, speed of implementation, quality, scalability, supportability and cost of ownership of the solutions being implemented.
Provide strong technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication
Strong problem solving abilities.
Experience with large-scale Azure migration initiatives.
Ability to engage senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Experience of implementing Azure services in enterprise environments.
Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, HIPPA etc.)
