- Extensive experience with designing and maintaining Azure environments.
- Must have heavy architecture experience.
- Must have experience supporting government or DoD environments.
- Security + Certification is required.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a secure Azure-based network within a classified environment supporting virtual network infrastructure. This position requires deep Azure cloud technical expertise and the ability to drive program initiatives as a key member of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure within an Azure environment.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Azure ARM templates, or Bicep.
- Configure and manage Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VNET, VPN Gateway, VLAN segmentation, and DNS.
- Engineer and maintain enterprise identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, AD, and SSO/Federation.
- Implement and maintain secure boundary controls and encryption solutions.
- Support deployment and operation of enterprise platforms such as Elasticsearch and O365 in Azure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level cloud engineers.
- Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions in the Azure cloud.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement cloud adoption strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 12 years of cloud experience, including at least 6 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is required. Must have extensive, rich knowledge of Azure; experience with other cloud platforms will not be considered a substitute. Experience supporting Federal environments and applying Zero Trust principles is necessary.
Technical Skills: Expertise with cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, and the Azure CLI. Knowledge of Azure monitoring, including Log Analytics (KQL).
Certifications: A current IAT Level II certification (such as Security+ or higher) is required. Ability to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-500.
- Experience administering ICAM solutions like PingFederate.
- Experience integrating Virtru or similar encryption and data protection platforms.
- Prior experience supporting ATO packages and control implementation statements.
