Job description

Title: Azure Cloud Principal Engineer

Locations: (Charlotte NC, Chandler AZ, Dallas TX, Minneapolis MN, Columbus OH, New York/New Jersey) HYBRID 3 DAYS ONSITE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE

Contract/Perm/C2H: 12 months - CTH

Mission:

·   Team is focused on AI/Cloud Data Migration project - Cloud Business partner unable to identify competent Cloud platform development resources, and now long time FTE resource is retiring at year end who was primary Azure product SME. Team has been falling short on Azure Cloud platform experience combined with Terraform and now needing backfill resource that will specialize in Azure/Microsoft product development/integration. Ideal resource will provide LEAD development experience on terraform, AZURE/Microsoft google cloud, and Kubernetes. 

MUST HAVES:

·                     10+ years of information security applications and systems experience

·                     6+ years of information technology applications and systems experience

·                     6+ years of experience working with SDLC, devsecops, agile, including supporting and/or using tools

·                     6+ years of experience working with various identity and access management tools

·                     6+ years of experience working with developing solutions for integrating various components

·                     2+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.)

·                     2+ years of experience in developing IAM solutions in cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure & GCP) - ideally both, but must have Azure.

·                     Experience architecting IAM solutions within Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and other cloud providers.

Technical Skills:

·                     Strong proficiency in AZURE Cloud services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, etc.).

o        MUST have led in Microsoft product environment

  • Expert knowledge of GKE/Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployments, and scaling.
  • Experience with Terraform – everything in their environment is managed by terraform 
  • IAM (Identity Access Management) solutions with MS Azure 

Leadership Skills:

·                     Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

DAY-TO-DAY -

Technical Support:

·                     Provide L2 support for AZURE Cloud environments, focusing on Terraform/Kubernetes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud services and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Lead Team in Microsoft product new development and implementation
  • Resolve Access Control complexities within Microsoft Products
  • Perform Automation implementations / Build Terraform platform

Technical Leadership:

·                     Partner with Senior Cloud Engineers

  • Lead and mentor a team of support engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and technical reviews to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist Srini in leading the group and major incident calls as needed

Incident and Problem Management:

·                     Manage and resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Document incident resolutions and contribute to the knowledge base.
