What is Azure AD SSO?

Azure AD SSO (Azure Active Directory Single Sign-On) is a cloud-based authentication service from Microsoft that allows users to access multiple applications with a single set of login credentials. It simplifies user management and enhances security by centralizing authentication processes. Organizations use Azure AD SSO to streamline access to both cloud and on-premises apps, reducing password fatigue and the risk of credential theft. It also supports multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies for added security.

To thrive as an Azure AD SSO Specialist, you need expertise in identity and access management, strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, and experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols, often backed by relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate. Familiarity with tools such as Azure portal, PowerShell, SAML, OAuth, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills help professionals navigate complex integrations and collaborate with stakeholders.
