POSITION PURPOSE:

Are you a passionate and skilled physician looking to make a difference in the lives of families and their newborns? Aviva Health has an exciting opportunity for aFamily Medicine Physician with Obstetricsto join our dynamic healthcare team in Roseburg, OR. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to providing comprehensive medical care and supporting expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey.

Job Summary:

As a Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional medical care to our patients, with a particular focus on family medicine and obstetrics. Your expertise in both fields will ensure comprehensive healthcare services for patients of all ages, from prenatal care through delivery and postpartum care. You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population and providing high-quality, evidence-based medical treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Perform prenatal care and follow-up visits for expectant mothers, including monitoring the health of both the mother and the developing fetus.
  • Conduct deliveries and manage postpartum care for new mothers and infants, ensuring their well-being during the critical postnatal period.
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries, while referring patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care for patients.
  • Promote preventive care and patient education, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health.
  • Stay current with medical advancements and best practices by participating in continuous medical education and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications:

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
    • Residency training in Family Medicine with additional fellowship or experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
    • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine and Obstetrics.
  • Active medical license in the State of Oregon
  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration (or eligibility).
  • Demonstrated expertise in prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
