Job Summary
Integration: Responsible for Avionics Integration services to include management of integration staff, coordination of certification with engineering and development of customer proposals to ensure acceptable profitability and risk management.ย  Provide technical assistance to all company customers and employees.

Service: Responsible for avionics installation and line services to include management of production staff, coordination of certification with engineering and development of customer proposals to ensure acceptable profitability and risk management. This position has ultimate responsibility for the profitability of the Avionics group and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with sales team to develop customer proposals
  • Meet & consult with customers to review work scope and address/resolve any concerns
  • Coordinate with internal and external certification groups to assess certification costs and timing
  • Obtain approvals from customer for discrepancies and modifications
  • Monitor projects daily to ensure that obstacles are addressed and resources are adjusted as necessary
  • Deliver projects on schedule and on budget
  • Maintain a positive work environment by facilitating open communication with staff and leadership team
  • Initiate new or modified procedures to increase the professionalism, efficiency, quality, and productivity of the team
  • Direct overall work flow within Avionics balancing multiple priorities
  • Ensure appropriate cost data collection and billing to work orders
  • Close work orders within allowed timeline making sure customer is billed per the quote and that all labor and parts are issued to the appropriate squawks
  • Manage resource levels to match scheduled workload.ย  Cross utilize team as needed.ย ย 
  • Communicate directly with customers during and after service visits to ensure rapid resolution of any outstanding issues
  • Recommend and/or initiate personnel actions such as hiring, training, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Ensure performance reviews are completed in a timely manner
  • Explains company policies to team members to ensure understanding and compliance
  • Performs other duties as directed
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Minimum of ten (10) yearsโ€™ experience working in corporate aircraft avionics in a repair station environment
  • Minimum of five (5) yearsโ€™ experience managing complex aircraft avionics modification and engineering integration services
  • Minimum of five (5) yearsโ€™ experience supervising/mentoring a staff of ten or moreย 
  • Mastery of inspection & install procedures with excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical directives
  • Ability to provide technical assistance to customers and employees
Education:ย 
  • Prefer Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, Finance or equivalent work experience
  • FCC license or an FAA Repairmanโ€™s Certificate required
  • Airframe or Repairmanโ€™s certification preferred

Other Prerequisites
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
