Job description

Products & Services Marketing Specialist

Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Product Marketer Level 4 or 5 to join the Product Marketing & Analysis team located in Renton. WA .

You will serve as the technical expert on all Boeing commercial aircraft for sales teams and customers. This will include travelling globally to present the value of Boeing products to airlines, lessors, media, and the public. Working with product analysts, you will create compelling presentations and marketing materials, deliver them to multiple audiences, and bring customer feedback to the strategy and program teams to inform future products and improvements. You will support multiple sales campaigns to directly present the value of Boeing products to the customer, and remain current on competitor products to best showcase Boeing's advantages.

Position Responsibilities:

This is a customer-facing technical marketing role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Directly present the value, attributes and characteristics of all Boeing airplane products to airlines, leasing companies, media, investors, appraisers and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent Boeing Commercial Airplanes to high-level executives at airlines and leasing companies.
  • Utilize customer, market, industry and product knowledge to creatively differentiate Boeing airplane product and services from competing offerings.
  • Gather customer, competitor and industry intelligence from stakeholder engagements to help define airplane product and service requirements and guide sales strategies and business decisions.
  • Serve as a company expert on Boeing and competing airplane products and educate the Boeing Sales and Marketing community on new information pertaining to Boeing and competitor products.
  • Participate in the development of campaign strategies.
  • Guide the development of product and service business, positioning and communication strategies.
  • Create and manage product presentations and marketing content.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton Washington.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of technical or operational experience with military or commercial aircraft.
  • Possess an understanding of commercial aircraft design, operations, maintenance, and performance principles.
  • Possess a technical Bachelor's or Master's degree (a technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematical, scientific or information technology field of study) OR equivalent work experience.
  • Able to travel worldwide up to 30% of the time on average (including trips up to two in length).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience delivering technical presentations to executive leaders and internal/external customers using Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software
  • 5+ years of prior sales & marketing or other internal/external customer-facing experience.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of the technical characteristics, features, and capabilities of commercial airplane products.
  • Knowledge of aircraft configuration, structures, components, systems, flight deck, handling qualities, performance, maintenance and flight operations.
  • Ability to creatively develop and persuasively present the value of airplane products and services.
  • Demonstrated integration skills in project teams to come to airplane-level solutions with an understanding of both airplanes and service offerings.
  • Technical or operational experience with multiple 7x7 series aircraft families.
  • Experience as a pilot operating Boeing or Airbus aircraft.
  • Familiarity with flight crew training and simulator operations.
  • An understanding of airline industry practices around flight crew scheduling and promotions.
  • An understanding of commercial aircraft flight deck design, technologies and regulatory developments.
  • Prior assignments with direct airline contact.
  • Master's Degree in a Technical or Business-related discipline.

Level 4 $138,000 - $171,000

Level 5 $172,000 - $215,000
