PRISM is seeking a Telecom Systems Administrator to manage and support our enterprise-grade VoIP and telephony infrastructure. This role is designed for a technical professional who excels at the intersection of telecommunications and systems administration. You will be responsible for the end-to-end health of our communication platforms, from the physical Dell PowerEdge hardware and Avaya peripherals to the underlying Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Telephony & Application Management * Manage and support enterprise VoIP and telephony systems, including hardware, software, peripherals, and mission-critical call applications. * Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP systems and telephony solutions to ensure high availability and superior call quality. * Maintain Avaya J Series phones and other specialized telecom hardware. Infrastructure & Systems Administration * Operate, monitor, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including Dell PowerEdge servers and application servers. * Manage and configure web servers, including IIS and Apache Tomcat. * Administer Unix/Linux and Windows Server environments, performing essential tasks such as patching, volume management, and log analysis. * Ensure seamless system integrations with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP. Security & Network Performance * Remediate and validate security vulnerabilities to maintain compliance with industry standards. * Manage client/server certificates and authentication mechanisms. * Monitor network connectivity, focusing on IPv4, ports/protocols, and IP routing fundamentals. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet rigorous security and performance standards. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (SKILLS/EDUCATION): * Minimum of 7 years in a systems administrator or engineer role specifically supporting VoIP or telephony systems. * Proven experience with Avaya platforms, including Communication Manager, CMS, ACR, WFO, IX Messaging, and System Manager. * Protocols: Deep technical knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, and SRTP. * OS Proficiency: * Unix/Linux: Experience with patching, LDAP integration, and volume management. * Windows: Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, and DHCP. * Infrastructure: Proficiency in managing and monitoring server systems (specifically Dell PowerEdge) and telephony peripherals. * Security: Knowledge of client/server certificates and vulnerability remediation. * Operational Readiness: Willingness and ability to work onsite and participate in a 24x7x365 rotational on-call schedule.
