Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Provide linen and other needed items to Guest Room Attendants as requested.
• Provide assistance and support to assigned Guest Room Attendants by stripping rooms, removing soiled linen, trash and providing supplies.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the linen rooms and supply closets on their assigned floors.
• Alert management of needed items for supply closets and linen rooms.
• Pick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day.
• Perform special projects assigned by Floor Managers.
• Enter work orders in our maintenance program and follow them to completion.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest corridors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shared Team Member bathrooms on their assigned floors.
• Report any breakages or damages to the appropriate Team Members.
• Deliver amenities to guest rooms.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Ability of simple reading, writing, and complex task completion skills is required.
• Must have the following skills: coordination, precision working, following instructions, and memorization.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, frequently crawling, climbing, balancing, and occasionally sitting during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to constantly push/pull and lift/carry up to 50lbs or less.
• The team member will have constant repetitive use of both feet, both hands, light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around electrical devices and mechanical devices.

• Team Member may be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, confined areas, vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odor, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, slippery surfaces and/or secondhand smoke.
