What You'll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, motivate, and support the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and recognition to associates.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and training of new employees.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
  • Promote a positive, respectful workplace that encourages collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide timely feedback and corrective coaching when appropriate.

Daily Operations
  • Coordinate daily room assignments, staffing levels, and work priorities based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, owner requests, and operational demands.
  • Ensure all residences, common areas, and public spaces meet East West Hospitality quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of residences and common areas, ensuring deficiencies are corrected promptly.
  • Support housekeeping staff during peak business periods by assisting with operational responsibilities as needed.
  • Respond quickly to changing priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.

Quality Assurance
  • Perform detailed inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and guest readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
  • Monitor compliance with departmental standards and established cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure residences are properly stocked with linens, amenities, and guest supplies.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies, safety concerns, and inventory shortages promptly.

Guest & Owner Experience
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality through every owner and guest interaction.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to owner concerns, service requests, and special accommodations.
  • Partner with Front Desk, Rental Operations, Homecare, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of owners and guests at all times.

Inventory & Department Support
  • Assist with inventory management of linens, cleaning supplies, equipment, and guest amenities.
  • Monitor supply usage and communicate purchasing needs.
  • Ensure housekeeping storage areas, carts, and equipment remain organized, clean, and operational.
  • Support departmental budgeting efforts by promoting efficient use of labor and supplies.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, company safety standards, and department policies.
  • Promote a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support emergency response procedures and operational continuity when necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll review, attendance tracking, and labor management.
  • Maintain accurate departmental documentation and inspection records.
  • Participate in department meetings and property-wide operational meetings.
  • Support implementation of company initiatives, policies, and operational improvements.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with special projects, deep cleaning initiatives, seasonal operations, owner events, and other operational needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting other departments when business demands require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of housekeeping experience in hospitality, resort, hotel, or residential property management.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record may be required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to hospitality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are highly desirable.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules including Fridays, weekends, holidays, and evenings as business needs require.
