Job Title:Convention Services / Assistant AV LeadDepartment:Business Advancement | Blackwell Food and Beverage Operations

The Convention Service/AV Lead is the liaison between the banquet and sales & catering department. This position will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and is responsible for the set up and execution of event bookings turned over by sales & catering.This position will supervise, coach, and motivate the convention services (CS) team toward achieving exceptional guest service results. Assists with hiring training and scheduling of all CS staff. Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions meetings and food service while maintaining standards of food and beverage specifications. Assigns tasks and monitors progress to ensure advanced set up of event spaces as well as post event work (including tear down cleaning and reset of space). Maintains proper storage maintenance and inventory of all convention services equipment and supplies keeping Banquet Manager informed of any equipment or supply needs in a timely manner. Reviews banquet event orders and assists with making tasks lists for CS team. Approaches all interactions with guests and team members in a professional service-oriented manner ensuring needs are met. Ensures thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments. Also responsible for leading the day-to-day audio-visual needs with a focus on providing professional customer service and flawlessly executed events. Responsible for technical supportforevents as well as making sure event set-ups areaccuratetoguestsrequestsmaintainsprepares and sets up equipment digital signage and space for event use meets with clients when requestedmaintainsgood working knowledge and inventory of equipment such as tables chairs digital projectors laptop computers audio equipment smart podiums and other a/v equipment and banquet equipment.Has knowledge ofnew technologiesand incorporates them whenpossibleat thehotel. Assistswith ordering new and replacement equipment. This position creates a collaborative environment with other hotel departments. Attendssheetsmeeting withcatering culinary and banquet departments to ensure event information is correct andaccurateand attends weekly staff meetings.Flexible work hours to meet the demand of the operationincludesmornings eveningsweekends and holidays.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is$ 16.65 - $21.77. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
