A Freelance Audio Visual (AV) Engineer is a professional who specializes in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment for events, meetings, broadcasts, or installations, working independently rather than as a full-time employee. They manage tasks such as sound mixing, video projection, lighting, and equipment integration, often collaborating with clients on a project-by-project basis. Their flexibility allows them to take on various assignments in different industries, including corporate events, concerts, conferences, and film or television production.
