Job description

Now Hiring: Experienced Auto Mechanic

Platinum Autoplex LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Auto Mechanic to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, can accurately diagnose and repair vehicles, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on a wide variety of makes and models and be capable of diagnosing and repairing all major automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, steering, brakes, and HVAC.

Pay: $900-1500 Weekly, Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.

  • Inspect vehicles and accurately identify needed repairs.

  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, timing components, fuel systems, wheel bearings, sensors, suspension, steering, brake systems, and other vehicle components.

  • Perform routine maintenance, including:

    • Oil and filter changes

    • Tire rotations

    • Brake pad and rotor replacement

    • Spark plug replacement

    • Fluid inspections and top-offs

  • Complete repairs efficiently and accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Explain repair recommendations and estimates to customers in a professional manner.

  • Test drive vehicles when necessary to verify repairs.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Follow all shop safety procedures and company policies.

  • Help ensure every customer has a positive service experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience required.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience replacing engines and transmissions.

  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.

  • ASE certifications are a plus but are not required.
