Job Summary and Qualifications

The Division Director of Nurse Leader Support is responsible for mentoring and coaching new, inexperienced or under-performing unit nursing leaders. The primary goal of this position is to facilitate the execution of one of the highest nurse leader priorities of the patient experience by acclimating and coaching nurse leaders to balance priorities of fiscal responsibility, operations, people management, quality, safety, and patient experience. This position demonstrates a high degree of responsibility, accountability and autonomy

Works collaboratively with Division and hospital leadership to identify development needs for unit nursing leadership. 
- Makes recommendations for sustained or improved performance. 
- Coordinates and provides periodic group activities for support, mentoring and boot-camp activities. 
-Identifies improvement themes and works to create solutions for the division and elevates to the enterprise leadership as needed. 
- Key partner within patient experience leadership team and human resources team. 
- Provides mentoring and coaching to new, inexperienced or under-performing unit nurse leaders through periodic one-to-one coaching sessions. 
- Makes recommendations for sustained or improved performance based on assessment and provides recommendations to Division and hospital leadership. 
- Coordinates and provides periodic group activities for support, mentoring and boot-camp activities. 
-Identifies improvement themes and works to create solutions for the division and elevates to the enterprise leadership as needed. 
- Utilizes, trains, and teaches evidence based best practices, including but not limited to, Colleague Rounding, Nurse Leader Rounding, and Safety Rounding.What qualifications you will need:

-Requires a minimum of 3 years in healthcare leadership, preferred direct oversight of clinical units. 

-Leadership experience in coaching, education, and/or project/program management highly desired

-Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred

-Texas RN license or compact license

-National certification required within 6 months of hire. 

-Must be independent and self driven

-Strong ability to cultivate relationships

-Must be comfortable and capable of having crucial conversations

-Must have a proven ability to coach and develop others
