Job description

Cutting Edge Automotive Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Technical Support Representative to join our team. This position provides technical support to automotive technicians and shop owners using diagnostic scan tools and related equipment. Work environment is clean and air conditioned. The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive diagnostic experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping customers solve technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

Bilingual Preferred: English & Spanish

  • Automotive technician or diagnostic specialist background
  • Experience using aftermarket and OEM diagnostic scan tools
  • ASE certifications
  • Basic Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote communication tools
  • Assist customers with the operation, setup, and troubleshooting of automotive diagnostic scan tools and equipment
  • Help technicians interpret diagnostic trouble codes, live data, and test results
  • Support customers with vehicle diagnostics involving engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, ABS, SRS, ADAS, and other vehicle systems
  • Must be able to document customer interactions and technical solutions within company systems
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary and follow through to resolution
  • Stay current on vehicle technology, diagnostic procedures, software updates, and product features
  • Deliver a high level of customer service while maintaining professionalism and patience in all customer interactions

Requirements:

  • Strong automotive diagnostic knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience diagnosing issues across multiple automotive systems, including drivetrain, electrical, air conditioning, and network communication systems
  • Familiarity with automotive scan tools, service information systems, and diagnostic procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong phone presence and customer service skills
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
