Job Description

This role is responsible for leading North American original equipment (OE) sales for fine blank backing plates and OE NVH shims, overseeing the full sales lifecycle from early concept development through program launch and production. The position manages all aspects of regional sales activity, including customer engagement, technical coordination, and commercial execution, while driving growth across fine blank backing plates and stamped NVH shims. A key focus is establishing and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships through close technical collaboration and partnership, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements and support successful program outcomes.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Maximizing sales revenue and market share within existing accounts while expanding into new customer opportunities
  • Develop and execute short and long-term sales strategies and growth plans aligned with business objectives
  • Conduct regular technical reviews and sales meetings with brake friction suppliers, brake caliper manufacturers, and OEM customers
  • Contact customers to gather relevant product information for problem solving and collaboration
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver clear, compelling technical and commercial presentation materials to support customer discussions, design reviews, and sales meetings
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of steel indices, raw material market trends, and applicable tariffs, and apply this understanding to pricing strategy and commercial decision-making.
  • Communicate pricing, commercial terms, and contractual conditions effectively, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer expectations
  • Operate independently and proactively to identify, develop, and execute new business opportunities while managing priorities and driving results
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data in an organized manner
  • Strong written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to and engage an audience in all settings, ensuring participants become more knowledgeable on our products and product lines
  • Knowledge of OE brake systems and components
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills both on an individual basis and group level
  • Delivers on commitments, has strong follow-up skills, and shows consistency between words and actions
  • Proven ability to negotiate, making sound decisions in a timely and confident manner
  • Ability to influence and shape the decisions of others
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to interface with clients and maintain a professional image.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality

Education/Experience:

  • Four-year degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of automotive experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
