Job description

Description:

Job Title: Technicians and Service Advisors

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Non-Exempt)

Pay Range: $12/hr and up depending on experience

The Opportunity

Whether you are launching your career under the hood or at the front counter, Jiffy Lube is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as either a Technician or a Service Advisor. Our Technicians are essential to delivering fast, high-quality automotive service in a hands-on, team-oriented environment where you’ll learn valuable technical skills to keep vehicles running safely and efficiently. Meanwhile, our Customer Service Advisors serve as the face of the business, acting as the first point of contact to build trust, educate guests on vehicle maintenance, and drive sales. If you enjoy working with your hands, thriving in a high-energy environment, or working directly with people, Jiffy Lube offers a fast-paced workplace that actively invests in your long-term career growth and professional development.

Our service center teams keep people safely on the road — and we’re hiring people who want to build a career doing it. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work in the service bay and with our guests. Some days you’ll spend more time under the hood, some days more time at the counter. Everyone on our team is trained to do both.

No automotive experience required. We provide industry-leading hands-on training, and many of our store managers started in this exact role.

What You’ll Do

• Greet every guest with a friendly, professional approach and create a positive first impression

• Listen to customer concerns and recommend the right maintenance services for their vehicle

• Conduct vehicle inspections and clearly communicate findings to guests and teammates

• Build trust by educating customers on preventative maintenance and what their vehicle actually needs

• Explain services, pricing, and timelines with confidence and transparency

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and preventative maintenance services

• Deliver fast, efficient service without cutting corners on quality

• Support teammates across every area of the shop as needed

• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally

• Accurately create service orders and process transactions

• Safely guide vehicles into and out of service bays

• Contribute to store sales and service goals

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive, mechanical, customer service, retail, or sales experience is a plus — but not required

• Willingness to learn and jump into hands-on training

• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude

• Comfortable talking with people and explaining things clearly

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods

• Team-oriented mindset — we cover for each other

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Work in a service shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, lifting, and working with tools and equipment

• Ability to occasionally drive customer vehicles

Why Join Our Team?

• Competitive weekly pay

• Bonus and incentive opportunities

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• 401(k) with company match

• Paid time off starting Day 1

• Employee discounts

• Industry-leading training programs

• Clear career advancement opportunities

• Team-oriented, supportive work environment

Tell us where you see yourself — under the hood, at the counter, or both. We’ll figure out the right fit together.
