Automotive Service Advisor

 

As a Service Advisor, you will own our customer’s experience in the service lane. You are the first point of contact with our customers and will be well-versed in product offerings, inventory needs, technician scheduling and customer service. From greeting vehicle owners on the drive line to explaining the repair process, our Service Advisors are true professionals who enjoy helping others. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for service customers, providing outstanding customer service, leaving a positive impression with the customer. Maintain a high customer service index.
  • Actively listen to engage and understand the customer's vehicle concerns and answer technical questions regarding repairs, warranties, and services
  • Create repair order and communicate vehicle needs clearly to technician; evenly distribute work between technicians
  • Communicate vehicle diagnoses and maintenance needs to customer. Advise and sell needed work
  • Follow up on vehicles throughout the repair process, keeping customer updated
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and technicians in a professional manner at all times
  • Return calls of customers who are interested in setting up new appointments
  • Complete all required position-based testing
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance
  • Other duties as needed to support the business

Automotive Service Advisor Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to work Saturdays
  • 2+ years of franchise dealer-level or large facility service advisor experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM automotive products required
  • Unrestricted NYS driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Automotive dispatch skills a strong plus, but not required
  • Excellent time management, communication and customer service skills
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed; Spends 50% of work-day standing/walking
