Automotive Receptionist

    Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Summary

South Shore Subaru is seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Automotive Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting or calling our dealership. This highly visible position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting both the Sales and Service departments.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers promptly with a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Determine the purpose of each customer's visit and direct them to the appropriate department or team member.
  • Notify sales consultants of arriving customers.
  • Answer and route incoming multi-line telephone calls efficiently.
  • Input customer information accurately into the dealership management system.
  • Provide dealership brochures, promotional materials, and basic information.
  • Perform vehicle stocking and inventory updates using CDK Dealer Management System (DMS).
  • Create and maintain accurate vehicle key tags and key inventory.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
  • Support Sales and Service departments with various office tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience during every interaction.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, administrative assistant, or customer service representative preferred.
  • Automotive dealership experience is a plus.
  • Experience with CDK Drive/CDK Dealer Management System is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with office equipment including printers, scanners, and copiers.
